Christmas Presents

My favorite thing about Christmas has got to be giving presents to my loved ones. There's something so special about taking the time to think about each individual person in your life and come up with an amazing present for them to open. I have not been feeling Christmas-y enough this season so I decided to wrap presents and put them under the tree! Starting last year, we made the tradition to wrap each person's gift in a specific color. This year Dad's presents are blue, Brandy's presents are red, and my presents are green (my favorite color). I had a lot of fun wrapping them, however I am horrible at wasting so much wrapping paper! I always feel guilty. I even wrapped a few of the presents that dad bought for Brandy. My mom's presents are still in my room since I take them to her house on Christmas Eve, however I only have one more present that I need to wrap for her :-). Other than that, I just need to wrap one more present for dad and one more present for Jeremy...

A Seattle Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not my favorite holiday; I usually have to spend it without my sister and that just is not the same. This year I was so lucky to be able to go to Seattle with my mom so we could all be together! It was truly the best (and most hectic) Thanksgiving dinner, ever. In Arizona, the weather is anything but festive. Some people may hate the cold, and the dark afternoons but not me. I love it. Not only that, but my favorite little munchkins. I was shocked at how much Finley has changed since August. He is so vocal now and so silly. Elliot did get me sick but that meant that I could get close to him so I can't fully complain. I love my nephews so much. Being close with them is so important to me. This trip was too short, because I could spend time with my sister forever. However, it was just what I nee...

Early Christmas decorating?!

This year, since I am so lucky to be going to Seattle for Thanksgiving, my dad let me decorate for Christmas early. I normally am allowed to decorate on Black Friday so since I will be gone he gave me a head-start. It is perfect timing since 99.9 started their continuous Christmas music this week!! So exciting, my favorite season is starting! This is my second year decorating the whole inside of the house exactly how I would like and I think dad is regretting giving me so much creative freedom. (I'm kidding, he really does enjoy it too! Maybe not this early though...) Personally, I know that the natural Christmas spirit fades so much as we get older but I am always determined to get everybody feeling very festive. My favorite decorations for the house are definitely the lighted garlands, and shiny tinsel. I love Christmas lights, but personally, I prefer the old lights that have a yellow tint to them. Even though the LED lights are better for the usage of energy, I am not a fan of...
